Below, you'll find instructions for completing your ARC tutor application. All application materials should be sent to tutoring.project.arc@gmail.com, with the subject line "(Your full name) - Tutor Application". For questions, email tutoring.project.arc@gmail.com.
Qualifications and eligibility
We're so excited that you're looking into tutoring at Project ARC! If you are 16 or older, have at least a year's worth of experience tutoring mathematics to students in primary and secondary school, are a currently in high school, college, or graduate school, and share our passion for doing and teaching math, you are eligible and greatly encouraged to apply.
Steps for completing your application
The first of two application stages should take an average of 20-45 minutes to complete. You will need to submit a current resume, contact information (a phone number), as well as a 1-2 minute video discussing why you would like to tutor at ARC. Send all materials to tutoring.project.arc@gmail.com, with subject line "(Your full name) - Tutor Application".
Within 72 hours, you'll receive an email with your application status. Successful applicants are invited to an interview, where most applicants are asked to showcase a 3-5 minute tutoring demo. We'll invite you to ask questions about tutoring at ARC, meet a current ARC tutor and/or student, and chat about your goals and experience as a tutor.
If invited to tutor at ARC, we'll send you an email within 72 hours after your interview time. Depending on your preference, you'll either be assigned to an individual incoming student or asked to join an existing team currently tutoring a group of students.
